Challenge
Counterfeit medicines are a silent threat, considering they are hard to spot, easy to ignore, and often dismissed until it’s too late. Combining with the fact that most Indians still buy medicine off the shelf from their local neighborhood pharmacies, the challenge was to make this invisible danger feel urgent and real, without relying on fear tactics or overwhelming medical jargon. The message had to be simple, human, and hard to forget.
Solution
We anchored the campaign on a single, visceral truth: “Your body recognizes fake medicines before you do.”
This line ran across a series of striking, almost jarring visuals showing common side effects caused by counterfeit drugs, immediately linking physical symptoms to unseen dangers.
Why the off-putting visuals? Because if the symptoms are tough to look at, imagine experiencing them.
